  • New assignment

    Feasibility Study, assessment of the development potential, and crafting of terms for the sustainable development and rehabilitation of the E. coast of Larnaca, Cyprus. For over 60 years, the 2,5 km long area of 35 hectares is mostly owned by the Cyprus petroleum companies and occupied by their heavy industrial facilities. As these are in the process of relocating, the region will be converted from an extensive brownfield to an urban sector with strong identity, providing a sustainable new environment of high quality and an economic catalyst for the development of the city. The study provides baseline information for the development of a master plan by ARUP, and comprises:
    - analysis of official city plans and local development programs
    - identification of appropriate processes to enable new planning regulations
    - suggestion of planning and building code regulations for the area
    - development scenarios, following economic assessment based on technical and financial analysis
    - evaluation of the impact of all proposals presented in the master plan by ARUP
